Finding a Bank Routing Number on a Check

in Uncategorized

If you have a checking or prepaid debit card account (or any other kind of bank account for that matter), you have a bank routing number associated with your bank. The bank routing number is used to identify which bank your account is at, so that if a funds transfer needs to get to your bank (like an ACH deposit, an Electronic Funds Transfer, etc), the sending bank knows where to send it. You’ll usually also need to know your account number (to make sure the funds go into YOUR account at that bank). Here are a few images showing how and where to find your bank routing number.
